Vika & The Velvets

Album Release Show

With special guest Winehouse

Making waves in the world of indie rock, Spokane-based artist VIKA is a self-taught powerhouse infusing classic rock with deep blues and jazz instrumentation alongside her hauntingly dreamy Amy Winehouse-esque vocals. Coining a unique vintage sound swirling with themes of nostalgia, luck, and love, the soul of VIKA’s artistry was inspired by the sound of her brother’s piano. Adopted from Russia as a baby and raised in a household where jazz filled the air, music became more than just sounds for VIKA and laid the foundation for her to craft a shimmering, soulful musical landscape all her own that bridges both her past and future.

VIKA’s upcoming project is an eleven-track album set to release on June 20, 2025. Filled to the brim with her signature vintage sound and taking hold of new elements like country twang and pedal steel, the album is a sensual, tender, achingly vulnerable homage to the twists of fate and luck that we bump into along life’s path. A blossoming genre-defying artist in her own right, VIKA’s musical journey simultaneously builds on the legacies of classic rock icons and cuts a new path all her own, reminding listeners that luck is really what you make it.

Branson Anderson

Sammy Brue

Local Support Announced Soon!

Singer-songwriter Branson Anderson hails from Logandale, Nevada, a tiny, sleepy, desert town dating back to the 1860s, best known as the home of the Clark County Fair and Rodeo. As a teen, Anderson started writing songs with dreams of rambling across the land as a traveling musician. In fact, he once ditched high school and took a two and a half day bus ride to Nashville with the sole plan of going to Third Man Records to meet Jack White. It didn’t quite pan out and fifteen hours later he was back on a bus headed home, but a love for the adventures of the road got into his blood on that trip.

Spending most of his time in Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming, Anderson gave up his trades as a truck driver and mechanic to pursue music full-time. With a creative approach to writing that eschews traditional song

structure, Anderson’s influences

include Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Jack White, and Robert Johnson. Fueled by a humble reverence for Americana, as a performer Anderson channels the spirit of yesteryear imbued with a fresh, unique take on roots music.

Anderson has toured the U.S. and parts of Europe, opening for Mattiel, Corb Lund, Watchhouse, Charlie Parr, Brothers Comatose, Smooth Hound Smith, Little Hurricane, Lillie Mae, The Kolars, and fellow Utah residents Sammy Brue, Timmy The Teeth and Joshua James, the latter who produced Anderson’s 2017 debut album, Graydog, sophomore album Applecore, Baltimore, and partially the Lord, Have Mercy EP. He is continuously working with Salt Lake City producer and recording artist, Chase Ford, on songs to be released as singles.

Sammy Brue embodies the kind of wisdom, talent and natural empathy that are often signs of age and maturity, and yet at 16 years old, he can place himself in the shoes of others, real or fictionalized, and write stories about them.

The Ogden, UT based songwriter has been writing songs since the age of 10. He signed to New West Records at 14 and now, with his debut album out, Sammy takes the next step forward. The forthcoming album, titled I Am Nice, produced by Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes) and John Paul White (former Civil Wars) was released in early summer of 2017. Recorded in Florence, Al, they created a brilliant album with nuanced dimension that provides emotional resonance to Brue's songs which Rolling Stone described as “a collection of devastatingly beautiful songs that touch on heartbreak, jealousy, God and Suicide;” and further declared Brue as “An Americana prodigy."

Though Sammy may appear quiet and unassuming, his songs speak volumes. From busking at Sundance at the age of 10, to opening for Justin Townes Earle, John Paul White, Lucinda Williams and John Moreland to mention a few, and performing at Summerfest, and the Newport Folk Festival, you will be hearing a lot about Sammy Brue as he stands on the precipice of what appears to be a long and ever-evolving creative journey.
