RCA and The Radicals

With James Berkley

RCA & THE RADICALS are an up-and-coming funk/soul sensation hailing from the PNW.

This eclectic band plays a very wide range of pop/soul/funk originals and covers. RCA began playing small bars, restaurants, and venues back in 2022 and is now one of the main artists to see in the area playing major shows around all of the Northwest. The songs he plays and writes speak of inspiration, hope, and love. RCA put out an album in 2023 called Regular People with songs that are meant to lift others up. He has played all across the PNW solo and with The Radicals since 2024! RCA is currently working on his next album (The band's first) which will be funk and soul related and has featured the collective. The band has one single called Lakeshore Drive which is also the name of their tour that they have been on since late May. With this energetic and electric new album they plan to funk up the Northwest!

Wiseacre

JoJo Dodge

Wiseacre is a rag-tag gang of musical friends whose flavor of ya’llternative queer folk has been one of Seattle’s best-kept secrets–until recently. A lifelong songwriter, Kaje Wise released Sellwood Station under the moniker Wiseacre in 2022. Since then, Wiseacre has gained notoriety around the Pacific Northwest and beyond, landing Wise a spot in the prestigious Hambidge Artist Residency. Wise’s time in the mountains of northern Georgia redoubled their dedication to the folk traditions that inspired Sellwood station, and encouraged them to explore more unorthodox song structures and arrangements. The band’s current lineup of Seattle-based musicians lets Wise preserve the poignancy of their earlier songwriting while leaning more into rock and alt-indie soundscapes. Wise’s songwriting is a unique sonic quilt of their imagining, weaving together reverence for nature and passion for lush world building. Wiseacre’s sound has drawn comparisons to Big Thief, Angel Olsen and Wednesday. The band’s live performances are known for cultivating moments of intimacy contrasted alongside expansive cinematic motifs and exciting dynamic shifts.
